Summer Field Trip to the California Science Center.

Students of the summer program at Southwestern Academy visited the Cleopatra exhibit and viewed the Imax movie "Mysteries of Egypt". The exihibit had more than 150 artifacts which included religious figurines and tiny gold coins inscribed with Cleopatra's likeness as well as large scale statues and gold jewelry.

In Mister Kohn's art class, students created a board game based on an art movement, such as Post Impressionism, Surrealism and Pop Art. Featuring high school students Rachel Du and Rainbow Li.

Celebrates Senior Ceremony

The ceremony was a simple one, it was held at 10:30 in the morning.
Student Body President, Nicolas Aguirre ('12 from CA) spoke as did Julian Jenney ('12 from AZ). 
The faculty speaker this year was Ms. Julie Chabot.
Music was provided by Arrita Domi ('14 from Kosovo) and Mr. DuFresne (Music Teacher). After the ceremony, a luncheon was held for all in attendance.

2012 Southwestern Academy Commencement in San Marino

2012 Graduates lead by Headmaster, Mr. Veronda for the Baccalaureate in the chapel.

Southwestern Academy, Veronda School, celebrated it's 88th Graduation Ceremony on June 7th, 2012. The day started with the Baccalaureate in the campus chapel. Student Body President, Wendy Wang welcomed the parents, followed by music and poems presented by the graduating class. Honors student, Katrina Espiritu, performed her original composition, "Stronger".

Parents and guests then followed the graduates to the Front Walk for the presentation of their plaque.

Commencement of the Senior Class and the graduating Junior High students was presented in the Forum. The Silver and Gold Honors were put forward. Afterward, the families enjoyed a lunch in the garden by the Veronda House.

Sunday, June 3, the students of Southwestern Academy enjoyed a dynamic sunset cruise at Newport Harbor for their 2012 Prom. The students departed from Southwestern Academy on awesome party buses which transported them to Newport Beach, California for an evening of fun with their friends.
Later this week, the seniors  are preparing for Southwestern Academy 88th Graduation ceremony on the San Marino campus.
