Southwestern Academy students had lunch at the historical Philippe The Original located in chinatown. Then they were off to Dodger Stadium to watch a game against the Philadelphia Phillies.

Philippe The Original is one of the oldest and best known restaurants in Southern California.

Summer of Art and Fun

This summer students from Southwestern Academy visited the Getty Villa Museum in Malibu. Every week students take a field trip to relax and have fun during their summer school adventures. This video was made by Mikayla K. Rodriguez, a computer literacy student here at Southwestern Academy.

The Getty Villa in Malibu, CA is an educational center and museum dedicated to the study of the arts and cultures of ancient Greece, Rome, and Etruria. The collection has 44,000 Greek, Roman, and Etruscan antiquities dating from 6,500 BC to 400 AD. The UCLA/Getty Master’s Program in Archaeological and Ethnographic Conservation is housed on this campus.
