Volunteer Community Service by the Students at Beaver Creek
On Wednesday, October 24, 2012, the students of Southwestern Academy's Beaver Creek Ranch Campus participated in a day of community service. Students were organized into three separate groups, each with a particular location the Coconino National Forest. Students volunteered at the annual Water Festival at the Dead Horse Ranch, in Cottonwood, Arizona. Southwestern students could also be seen picking up trash along the Beaver Creek, which runs through Rimrock's Starlight Canyon. Students also walked over four miles picking up trash along the highway leading into the Beaver Creek. Southwestern's multinational student body participates in community service efforts as part of Southwestern's development of feature leaders and global citizens.
